Hello everyone. Just getting things ready to hit the lake tomorrow, and was wondering what would you say are your top 3 stillwater trout lures. Flies and bait don't count, just hardware. I think mine are: 1/ Flatfish (black and silver) 2/ Panther Martin spinner (black and orange) 3/ Dick Nite (silver and gold).

mine are probably in this order 1.small rapala countdown rainbow trout 2.small 5 of diamonds 3. yellow and orange panther martin

lately this year the fish have been going crazy over my rapala, couple days a panther martin or 5 of diamonds would out do it but usually the rapala would be all that works for me

Not no great trout person, but seem to think favorites change every time out, ,, just need to find what they like for the time. Never seems to be the same on outings, but when you throw it out,, they will let you know what they are liking. And being on a boat , it's finding the right spots as they move around.
So my answer is, no real favorites

"Lure" - A decoy used in catching animals, especially an artificial bait used in catching fish.

I would suggest a fly is as much a lure as a spoon is.:)

And I would suggest to re-read the OP original question...he was wondering about lures not including flies or bait
