Went to the Coast and went saltwater fishing for the first time. Jeremie gave me some tips and we hooked into 37 Pinks between the 4 of us all about the 18-20" size. Second day I landed 9 myself with 11 hits;Alot better hookup ratio the second day. I used a 6wt floating line with a 8ft leader and unweighted wet stimmy in pink also tried out the spey around 2pm and land 1 pink and a small silver fish(not sure the name) I was surprised to see the pinks close to shore all day must be from the crazy wind or something else playing a factor including light. We fished a bunch of places off the side of the road and it wasnt untill we hit south of Cortney the Pinks started showing themselves. We got private access to a spot on the coast were a creek ran into it and the fishing preasure was zero and the pinks were splashing and jumping and within casting distance.

Spokane Area: We hit amber lake WA and cashed in on some slab Diploids then the next day hit the local river and got some Native Redbands and cutbows along with some big browns spotted. Last time I was there it was only big rainbows in the 7-8lb range not interested in anything now it was the browns turn even refusing naturals off the surface but its good to see the browns and the stones comming back.

Rocky Area: Hit up a few front range streams with BG and we both broke our rods I broke Jakes by acident by threading the line through the guides(His third St.Croix) and Mine was broke through a car door. The first river we got one first cast beside the bridge and got followed by a dog for the better portion of the river so we hit upstream on another section with one brown and a big brookie bagged. Got tons of browns on the other stream beside it, Jake hooked into another biggie but he couldnt land it on the 3wt, not too sure why I cant hook into one yet lol.

Red Deer River: Water is stained as expected with caddis, stones and Pmds hatching everywhere. The goldeye were in full force eating the pmds today and were feeding off stones in the morning. Lots of new water fished today with the dry fly. Couldnt find any browns in the city section yet but fishing has been very productive for golds and whites off the hopper droper setup.

The ones on the top are Redband Rainbows from Spokane. They share the water with browns, Rock bass, Sturgeon, Pike and have shared water with steelhead a long time ago. The water has been dammed so there is steelhead genitics in the river. I Have seen 7-8lb bows out of there but they were un wiling to bite refusing naturals.
