Regulations say:
"Fishing is prohibited by any method within 25 yards (22.86 m) downstream of the lower entrance of any fishway, canal, obstacle or leap. Weirs and dams are considered obstacles."
So I guess it should be legal to fish under the bridges?
Am I reading it right?

What about fishing on the small foot bridges? the sort that are over some creeks? There is a nice one just over a busy spot in red deer (wassakoo creek) and no one fishes it, probably cause the think its illegal to do so. I caught a wall eye on that once.

As far as I know a bridge is not an obstacle because it does not inhibit/prevent/control the travel of fish or water back and forth in a water way.....dams and weirs do....but I could be wrong.

A bridge is not an obstacle.
However, some sections of river are delineated by bridges.
Upstream, 1 set of regulations and down stream another set.

Well considering that one time I was fishing below one of the bridges within FCP (Fish Creek Park) and was talking with a CO while fishing below said bridge... He didn't say boo!!
People fish under and below bridges all the time and I have NEVER heard of anyone getting fined (b/c they were fishing below/under a bridge)... NEVER!!
So?!

You misread the OP.....you are arguing the same point everyone is trying to make that fishing under a bridge is LEGAL.
