Another great day at wabamun from about 8:30 To 1:30 22 in the boat and pretty much had the lake to our selves surprisingly didn't see another boat until around noon at least where we were lol caught one that was in pretty rough shape although he had lots of fight in em and the little guy was too funny not to show fought like a champ size ranged from 26" to 31 " no weight as I don't have a scale yet

TrophyPikeHunter caught a pike a little further down from where you were in that pic with the same open wound.

Makes me wonder if its some sort of disease or something.

I have fished Wabamun for years, caught hundreds upon hundreds of fish and have not seen anything like this before. This was the first strange wound we have ever seen on a fish out there that wasn't a bite mark, line scar or something explainable.

Hmm ya possibly, I've never actually seena fish damaged by a prop so I couldn't give a accurate guess. The shape of it does somewhat resemble the shape and size of a pikes mouth (big pike of course) but ya not sure.
