That really sadden me. How people are so BS. Just like today I was out fishing at this Res. These people come from the city with car loads of people and over fish the place until there isn't much fish to catch. Of course people don't know how to catch and release properly there is dead fish around.

I know it's a problem in one region in Russia, but it is as illegal there as it is here as far as I know and probably not more "common" than heroin dealing here. You might want to educate yourself a bit about "other parts of the world"

I think people do it when they take so much eggs that they can't process (not interested) fish itself . I guess that means there should be more fish floating somewhere... Hope they catch these guys soon

Unlikely. There is a huge black market for sturgeon roe and whole sturgeon in Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. I know someone who was involved in it twenty years ago.

Sad to say because there is an easy $$ to be made, with fewer risks than being caught by a rival drug gang or the law.

Killing this fish for the eggs is a crime against nature, same as closer to home killing deer for the horns. Each year deer are found with the head cut off and the rest left for the ravens.

I have fished the Fraser several times for Sturgeon and never seen such a sickning display of disregard!
Those that take from mother nature best be careful, she has a strange way of taking back!! Especially on the Fraser!!
