This sale costs me too much every year, I would prefer that people not remind me :sign0176: :) Now it's my will power against the wish list of items that never go on sale otherwise. Bill says last time: "adding to the Islander reel collection again are you?" Previous year "This is gonna hurt". Boxing day "Is that all?"

Is this a precursor to the Northside store moving to the old Nevada Bob's location on 170 St and 111 Ave.?
if so, this means there will be nothing in the way of tackle shops for those living in the core and the east side.
If they go the way of the Fishing Centre does this mean they can't afford the skyrocketing rental prices?

Better not be as I was told the mark up was too small so they wouldn't go on sale ever. If they are be some serious explaining to do in the northside store in Edmonton.

A little mono backing (or a piece of tape) will stop the braid from spinning on the spool :)

Did you get your PowerPro loaded from the bulk spools, or did you buy fresh ones? They only carry up to 50lb in the bulk stuff.

Been there twice so far and it really didn't feel as busy as last year or the previous year's sale, might have been the time of day (lunch and dinner).

Sucked it up and got a new pair of Simms waders, I really hope they last a few years vs my last pair of Guidelines which leaked after the second year. Bunch of other fly gear but I always wonder if I got enough flies to last me until next year.

Sure. If you have a spare reel with no line, then you could easily spool it over from one reel to the other, then put the mono backing on the reel you want to use, and then wind it all back from reel #2 to reel #1.

Or you could also just pull all the line off the reel that you're using, til you get down to where it's tied onto the spool, then put a piece of tape over it to stop the line from spinning, and wind it all back on again :)

JUST FOR YOU SOME SELECTED S.CROIX RODS ARE 40 PERCENT OFF

Not all GL rods are 40 percent off but a big selection of GL2 walleye and trout rods are 40 percent off. Other GL rods are 25 percent off.

Selected Fly rods like the GL EastFork are 40 percent off, which puts this high end rod at economy rod pricing.

There is a special deal on SAGE rods also.

Wall to Wall everything is at least 20 percent off with many many items up to 50 percent off
