Off to the NWT Tommrow

I am going up to my new fishing camp that I bought in the NWT. I am very excited to see it, and fish there. Man it is going to be nice to see the Aylmer Lake camp, get some fishing and marketing pictures and video.

Great fishing, lots of lakers, we caught them from 2lbs all the way to the high 40's. Guides preached catch and release on everything except one shore lunch per day. Some great memories from that trip. Muskox, Tundra Grizz, Huge Boo's; lots to see around the area. :sHa_shakeshout:

PS--> if you have never been there before take a GPS with you, very easy to get turned around up there. Lakes are all interconnected and the shoreline all looks the same at first.:scared0018:

Yes fished Alymer and Clinton, that was back when Alan & Cathy were running the show. I heard that it was up of sale, drop me line once you are up and running, I would love a re-match with one that got away.

Man what a trip from the drive up to Yellowknife, the twin Otter Float plane ride in and the 5 days wee spent at the new fishing camp that I have bought. It was an adventure week that I soon will not forget.

Thanks TJ it is a beautiful place the lodge is very nice we have a total of 36 beds at the lodge we are going to do some renovations next June there. The fishing is phenomenal we fished two separate times only as we where busy inventory and running all the equipment and then shutting it all down. On day 2 we fished for about 1-2 hours and we hooked over 30 lake trout from 8lbs to 27.5 lbs. Then on our 4Th day we fished the narrows between Aylmer and Clinton-Colden and caught over 40 fish in one hour from 2 lbs to 17.5. We saw lots of grizzly bear sign, 3 muskox with in 2 miles of camp and picked low bush cranberries by the bags full. Love it there.

Thanks Trappshooter my son took all the pictures with a Canon EOS D5 and Canon EOS Rebel T2i with Canon EF 16-35 1:2.8 L lens and a Canon zoom EF 70-300 1:4-5.6 IS L lens. He took about 4,000 pictures and lots of video while we where there. Yes Fishabs I will let everyone know when the website is up and running. Fishabs we are booking dates know that we onwn it.
