hey guys, i'm heading down to the pass with my wife for 5 days next week. gonna be doing some fishing and quadding. any suggestions on some spots/sights i should check out while i'm down there? any can't miss scenic lakes or stretches of river/creek? doesn't matter if the fishing is hot in the area, just want to check out the area. i'll be doing some exploring and report back to you guys haha

also, is there any campsites for tenting that also have showers? it'd be nice, cause i'm probably gonna end up getting muddy quadding lol

thanks

you could also just head into the blairmore pool to shower, thats what we end up doing every year.

here's some pic's from the trip down to the pass. beautiful area and i can't wait to go back and explore some more next summer. we ended up staying at chinook lake, once we seen how beautiful the campsite and lake was, we didn't care that there was no shower facility there.
there is a fish farm on the road into the lake too. we toured that one day
also went to the frank slide interpretative centre, checked out some mines, the old famous burmis tree, explored along the historic crownest routes, rode the quads, fished. and there's still a lot more to do n see
caught a couple rainbows, but nothing of any size. 10" fish

i never seen windmills to this extent before, but it made for some neat scenery

Rabdo, how was the fishing at Chinook? I had a blast at Beaver Mines all weekend. Largest Rainbow pulled out was 17.5" on Sunday evening.

it was ok, i was using a fly rod and only landed a couple rainbow. but everyone fishing from shore was using powerbait or corn and they were catching a bunch of little guys.
