I talked to my buddy said theres places that the ice is off about to 50 yards out from shore figures that the ice will melt forsure in time of may long weekend , same as Pigeon and the other bigger lakes. We just need some above 0 temps and some wind .

Was just upto Shaws a couple of days ago to check on the cottage and the ice is flooding but not open.

It should be..........but it is sitting under 3 feet of snow.:)

You gotta be kidding !!! I don't know of anyone who has seen this much ice at this time of year. That's not to say there won't be some open water by then, but the lake will NOT be clear. I think I'll just throw out a line from the marina at Jeff's place.. I sure would like to be wrong for a change lol

It's now 2 wks. later and still nothing has changed. Lil Mitsue Lake to the east of town is hardly dark yet and after it clears , the main lake does so- 10 to 14 days later.. Not very promising but it's happened before..
