Thx dss44,, yah I'm gettin the ich to head west myself.. Looks like I might get out west this coming Thur or Frid for 3 or 4 days,, heading out with the Nephew he has his boat out there already its sittin in Camble River.. We aren't sure if we are going to stay in Camble and load up on the prawns or head to Nootka and go for some Hali and Snapper.. My guess is we will head to the outside... Looks like we will make it barring something unforeseen that is.. If I do I will be back with a few pics for the boys.

If you head out make sure and take some pics to share bud..

Well done with the pic. But I recognized the sole for a sole. I should have kept quiet and let a few more guess.

Like your other pics as well. Makes me want to head for the salt-chuck. The boys look like they really had a good time too. (kids and fishing, how could they not have fun???)

Have a good one!

Dont think Ive posted anything on here yet....
Maybe I should give it a try.

This is a 22" smally from Georgian Bay, Ontario
Its a fuzzy picture but its my biggest to date.

http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL1438/11014318/19572989/315139119.jpg

This is a picture of a naturally reproducing Rainbow.
Tiny, I know, its the fact that these waters were once to dirty
to allow a natural spawn. After many years of work the waters are
back where they should be. I think this was the second one caught on the river in about 10 years.

http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL1438/11014318/19572989/315139118.jpg

And a nice shot of the water at the cottage, also in Georgian Bay.

Nice trout guysmiley.

Pic may be a little blurry but I like the way you are holding a fish to be released. Craddling the fish in two hands and not squeesing it. That fish will probably do ok when released.

Some anglers grab a fish behind the head with one hand and hold tight, squeesing its internal organs pretty good (they don't do this on purpose, just don't realize what they are doing). Then they expect it to be fine when they release it.

Thanks. I was fishing with a friend who is a "great" photographer. I asked him if he got a good shot and he assured me he had. Every shot was blurry and I should have checked before releasing the fish. Oh well.

It was alot less yellow in real life with incredible red on the gill cover. I won't soon forget catching that one.

Garrick.

That is why I always take several pics of something I want to capture an image of. And I always insist that someone taking a pic of me snap at least 3 or 5. Particularly with digital (is there any other way?). Most cameras are almost "idiot proof" but we can still screw the shot up once in awhile. If you take 5 pics at least one is bound to be the best of the lot and a decent pic.

I normally take a couple with flash, even in "good" light, as the flash sometimes adds lots of detail in shadows and makes a better pic.

I'm guessing by the difference in exposure, between the fish and the kids, that it is about 1/2 a pound.:D

oops, I see that you already answered the weight question. I guess I shoud have finished reading the thread.

I have a few pictures where my kids smile is bigger than the fish they caught. They are my favorites by far.
