right on bud now that i think about it i have never caught a brown on the fly yet... hmm another challenge for me now.

I have never put in so much work to catch one kind of fish, i cant even say how pumped i was to catch this guy. We walked atleast 6 miles of the james river yesterday and caught about 10 trout in total brooks bulls and browns.

Awesome buddy! I remember my first brown from earlier this year. Still riding the high of a quick fight for a decent sized brown. The next week, got a bull on the fly and thats been my season - hope yours is going better :)

Well I live just off the red deer river and have been getting tons of goldeye on the dry flies but I've wanted a brown for a long time and this guy took it hard and put up a good little fight but we were on the James river for this one.
