Dang, this is stretching my memory a lot, but when I was a kid and we stocked rainbows in our pond I seem to remember one looking like that a bit. It had some type of growth inside it's back. Couldn't say if that's what's up with Mr. Hybrid but maybe?

Or maybe a double-muscled trout - kind of like this?

Aren't they though. Surprised me when I first saw them. :scared0015:

Very strange. Has a forked tail that only Lake Trout have. Doesn't account for the hump though!

We caught 1 exactly like that at Beaver Mines in the fall except it was bigger about 11" or so when my son was reeling it in I thought it was a real nice 3 or 4 pounder. Once we got it to the boat looked at it and released it we saw that it looked like it was a mutant rainbow we let it go!

Years ago when the trout in tyrell lake were biting they looked the same as this. The biologists said it was from eating so many fresh water shrimp which the lake was full of. I caught many where the girth was almost double the length. As for a perch hybrid impossible. Piker

Caught something similiar last year, twice actually. Caught this same walleye in the same spot a couple months apart. Had a definite curve in his back as well as the hump
