Decent spots in or around Calgary?

I've got a day off work coming up and I want to go out and do some casting from the shore for a few hours. This will be my first time fishing this year. I've hit Glenmore reservoir in the past with no luck and Bassano dam.
What have been good spots for y'all and what baits have worked? Max 1.5h drive from Calgary.

what species do you want to catch, and what kind of fishing to you want to do?

Pine coulée reservoir (pcr)

Drive south to stavely, then west to the res.

Just about anything will work, but pieces of minnows will get you endless fish.

Pike
Walleye
And burbot

I'd mostly like to catch Pike with spoons/minnows/smelts. Actually I have been to PCR and had a great time catching walleye with minnows!
