Shore fishing southern Alberta

Hey guys I am new here to the forums and southern Alberta. Usually I do my fishing out in Manitoba, lots of catfishing! :p Anyways, I am here in Calgary without access to a boat so I am wondering where are some good shore fishing spots in southern Alberta? I am willing to drive a bit so that part doesn't worry me. Personally I would like to catch pile, however I am not picky and walleye or trout would be great as well.

Depends what you are after and if you want to keep any or if you are release only. If you want to catch a pile of walleye but aren't concerned about keeping any, try Pine Coulee Reservoir west of Stavely. Although I haven't fished it, I have heard that it has a ridiculous amount of walleye that can be caught from shore.

welcome to the forum :). where in southern alberta are you?

I have seen some people at traverse res at the spillway and at the docks and have seen them pull out quite a few fish at those spots.
