Hey all, just posting up the results from Pigeon today.

Winds were a screaming 30km/h according to TWN from MaMeo Beach.


Launched at about 10 am, to 3ft waves, and the odd white cap.

Few waves came over the hull of the boat, but nothing we ain't scared of.

Fishing was good, landed 10 in the 3 hrs we were there, and variety of size as well.


Bottom bouncers with white powerbait grubs were the weapon of choice, minnows proved useless same with worms...

All in all, first time ever out on Pigeon, and I must say it was great.

I think the most impressive fish in the pictures is the young one. I guess some walleye are making it work in there.Thanks for the pics.

They should shut the lake down for a year or two and start netting and moving some of those eyes to other lakes in the area. Could be one of the best hatcheries going if done right. Maybe even not shut it down, just net a couple hundred each year and transfer them to other lakes that need stocking. JMO
