Hi everyone, I am heading to lower lake on the weekend and hoping to get into some bull trouts but never fished there in the fall. I will have a boat and downrigger, so hopefully can attempt most techniques. Does anyone have any tips (tackle, depth, speed, locations....).

Thanks in advanced for the help

When ever i have fished for bulls in a lake it was where a creek or a river coming in. Where the bait fish were hanging out. i like to use something big and white with some red on it. something that looks like a 6in white fish.
Dont got much info on lakes most the time i fish the rivers....

Water is super high now , fish the upper lake where rawson comes in , get there early and fight for you're spot . Big black woollies under an indie work good or strip big white/black , white /pink streamers ... Cast far out , go deep and give 3-4 quick strips and let it sink again. Prolly be a Lil slow as there in full spawn mode this time of year, but the curries are plenary full and easy to catch..... Good luck!
