Forget the pike it's all about the whites right now, you can fish anywhere around the lake for them right now :) some HUGE ones caught this mourning :) then it was off to a&w for lunch :)

forget about the pike? never. those whites look like fun but i don't see the big attraction. the pike were slow on sat. but i'd really like to get that 20 pounder so thats what we were targeting.
do those whites put up a good fight?

Ernest best fights ever man, what a blast, so siick of the pike, nice trying something new out of Wabamun.

guess i'll look into it. i know i get tired of those lazy wallies on the nsr and prefer a hard fighting sucker esp. the red horse. pm me some white fish tips as to lures or bait.
better yet lets head out later in the week so i can steal some of your secrets.
you can also teach me the pike dance lol.

Man I wished the wished the whitefish run at sylvan would get a lot better. Last year was just horrible too on the south end. Time to target the l.whites in gull!.

The go to right now is a wire worm in red white, tight to the shank, candy stripe pattern,,, in the southern half at least,,, start stipping those tiny wires out of old cord phones.

I'm going lake whiting in the morning with my dad - who is nuts for them - and the rockies in the afternoon - because they are my fave -,,, will post scout report tomorrow.

Dad was at mcgregor on thursday and caught 3 chunky walleye and 3 pike which one was a nice keeper, water clarity crystel clear.

Great pics as usual Shawn! Cool to see that Wab is so nice and clear this late in the season. Were you catching them on flies or wireworms/bait?
