Friday fishing the SSR

hit the river around 10:30 or so, it was frikkin cold, but it sure beat working.
got to enjoy this while I was packing up.

it was very slow, I tried a couple other spots in the same area, not much of anything going on. Decided about 2 oclock to check out another hole on the way back, and the fish were a lot hungrier up there. Started off with 3 suckers, then it was walleye after walleye, with a little pike for good luck. No sign of sturgeon, no breachers or bites at all for the second time down that way. Kind of dissapointing since we were catching quite a few of them in that area last year at this time.

Not a bad day once they started feeding, ended up with 3 suckers, 1 pike and 10 walters for the day. Also have a nice hole in one of my fingers from one of the eyes, got his revenge and bit me pretty good. :shark: oh well, all part of the game. Uploading a couple videos then I will add them to this post.

I had my eye on the water too but didnt make it. Work is busy. How many days a year are u out therewayne. They need to do a swamp monster show with u in it. Amazing fin size on dinner

some of these river walters have crazy big fins, compared to the lake fish, but they have some pretty good currents to fight. Im out there every day I can, fortunate to be working 3 day weeks mostly now, even if the 12 hour work days can get long sometimes. still not enough!!!! :sHa_shakeshout:
