I'm just wondering if anyone out there has seen much for rise's from these lil buggers. On a few eves when I've been on the NSR fishing for walleye there has been a surprising amount of surface activity and I'm itching to try and catch a few goldeye on the fly rod.

An old pic for fun.

Once the run off and water clears up you will start seeing alot of surfacing Goldeye's and Mooneye's in the evenings.

I find once the water starts to settle they really start feeding.

I agree, although last year and this year I have found/seen them emerging in may. I figure if anyone else out there has seen them then it may be worth bringing the fly rod down.
