Apparently there was a 7.7 quake off of the Queen Charlotes and there is a Tsunami heading for the Island. Can anyone confirm this?

Apparently there was another 5.8 quake after the first one.

just watched the news and it is headed for the coast but never said vancouver specificaly be safe

Fortunately the wave was minimal. Still not a joking matter.

Actually the one that hit Hawaii was bigger...
90cm. wave and the alert has been cancelled.(three hours ago)
There was another one down in California this morning too, not sure of that magnitude.
Qn Charlotte City had some stuff falling from shelves that was about it.
