View Full Version : Anyone fished the NSR the past few days?

Title says it all, any spots where there's not to much ice chunk action?

Went out Friday evening and there were ice chunks floating down but they were more so out in the middle of the river so it didn't effect fishing at all, your line may freeze up on your guides if you head out tomorrow.

I was out on Friday night as well, I meant more like the last day or two, I imagine that there's been more ice come in but are the outflows around the city still ice free enough? I don't know where to fish on Friday! Lol

probably another 3 weeks until the ice really gets going :)

Lots of ice coming down. Might be tough fishing it.

Yes I went fishing in the night time at 11 pm all the way til 6am in -8 weather, strictly out of passion, it's really not that crazy to believe!

Couple years ago we had a contest who was going to be the last to catch a fish in the NSR. Jay and I made it all the way to mid November. Now that was fricken crazy. At least my wife thought I was.

Won't be me this year unless something drastic happens...I've already moved on to ice fishing! :lol:
