Had very little luck at chain lakes last year need some tips on how to catch the, trough the ice any baits to set ups help

We use a mr twister jig head with a meal worm. Worked ok for us, other thatn that corn works as well. White mr twister worked the best

velvetta cheese ! cant even hit bottom usually with it on your hook .

Small jig with half a shrimp and a split shot about 10" up.
fish all day. good luck.

I only been there once last year but I cought a few with just a bare hook. Had mealworms for bait also.

velveta cheese off the bottom, like said in earlier post, usually dosen't hit bottom, last parking lot, walk out 50 yards, should be fishing in 20-25 feet of water, unless water level is really low than you will be in 15 feet or so. buy it in the block, not the slices, use a sz 12 bait holder hook or treble and a small split shot to get it to bottom. i usually fish 1 or 2 turns off bottom.

X2 - wildcat is on the right spot and on the right bait and presentation. There is no way you get skunked following this cat's advice ..............
