Ghost ice

Is there any ice forming on ghost lake and when will it be safe to ice fish

Absolutely no ice whatsoever.

Here we go. Ice fishing ghost is great idea. We all hit our favorite secret spots as soon as the ice is good. its like the fun frenzy. Then we get sick of the drives and the 80$ gas bills.
then over a beer someone says "Lets just go to ghost!". Close,cheap and fun!
Most of us fit into the group of guys that sit there 3 days a year, freeze or **sses off and catch no fish for the most part. We say, "this winter, im figuring out ghost" and we dont.
then theres about 9 dudes that have actually figured it out and do well. I've seen the photos. I did have a whopper of a fish on by the bridge but lost it and every other one i encountered. Ghost is truly an annual tradition and it really is close, cheap and fun. I would be lying if i gave you any spots or tips. Im in the cant figure it out group. But giv'r a try, maybe your the lucky guy #10 that pulls em out.

That's not entirely true.

8 of us went there from dawn to dusk++ last year and we definitely saw a small sucker on slingshotz camera.

There was no question it was a fish.

Wouldn't bite though :(

good ol' ghost lake lucky hook if I remeber correctly, sorry man can't remember. Hell I can't remeber the wifes b-day let alone a hook used several yrs ago. tough lake to fish but close to home

Strange thing is, I do well at Ghost in the Spring and Summer, but have yet to catch a fish there on the hard water in winter.
