Scent trail in snow

Will a scent drag say with doe urine on it still be good and give off scent if it is dragged along the surface of the snow?

I belive animals can smell better in the snow.....my dogs go snake with the first couple snow falls smelling everything and I think I have read it somewhere before too!!
