North Carolina Fishing Help Needed

The company is sending me down to North Carolina for a month to a place called Elizabeth City basically right on the Atlantic coast.

Anyone ever been fishing out that way or perhaps even from that neck of the woods?

I've never done any salt water fishing so I thought I might try a bit.

I've already been to the NC regulations/wildlife site, but am looking for a bit more info from a local, or someone who has actually fished in the area.

There is a Bass Proshop Outdoor world about 2 hrs away so I can get a bit of gear if needed there I suppose.

Or would it be better to book a local guide and let him/her show me the ropes.

Any help would be appreciated.

I will get you all the info you need for that area. if you know when it will be let me know and i wil let you know what to fish for and where to go. I live here in north carolina (Burlington,NC) but go to the coast as much as possible. i stay on this board because i love to hunt in alberta i have been coming up there every year since 98. so any particular info you need you can send me a pm
