Helena Lake

has any one ever fished Helena? I've travelled across it many times in the winter on my way to other lakes in the area and have never seen anybody fishing. I heard some one say the mercury level is high. If that's the case I wonder about all the others.

its says in the regs its has high mercury. So I assume thats why you never see anyone fish it. Although I heard the perch and pike are tiny and not a lot of walleye. Could be another reason.

Tried last year for about 15 minutes by the campsite drive on spot and got one pike like 55cm, not really chunky either.
