Lakes around GP...

New to the area and am wondering where a good place near go would be to start out up here?

Sturgeon Lake and Snipe Lake are reasonably close, there's a stocked trout pond in town, Muskusopi or some such thing it's called, not sure how to spell it. There's also Pierre's Grey Lakes near Grande Cache plus Grande Cache Lake and numerous rivers and streams, Swan Lake in BC or the Other Swan west of Valleyview as well. There's also a number of lakes in the Swan Hills, but lots of oilfield out there. I'm trying to see if anyone knows anything about the lakes around the highway past Hythe on the way to BC.

There's a few places around to fish, but not a whole lot besides the two rivers and the trout pond that are close (>1 hr drive). I'm an hour North of GP and have a schedule that's favorable to fishing every other week, hit me up sometime.
