Well I ordered 3 rods from St. Croix and 2 of them came today... One was alright, the other was snapped clean in half. The box was destroyed and crudely taped back together...

Wow...

File a complaint?

Yeah going to be doing that, both with canada post and the american mail service. St. Croix was very good, they sent me a new rod free of charge!

EDIT: Instead of filing a complaint I will be going around stabbing postal workers in the eye with the broken pieces.

Sorry to hear about your experience with Canada Post. I am having my own issues.

On Tuesday got a note in our post box that there was a parcel waiting to be picked up at the local Sobey's Canada Post. Wife goes in - returns without it. They can't find it - will call us: no call. I call the next day - still can't find it - will call us: no call. Today is Saturday - they haven't called and don't know where our package is. Yesterday I got an honest employee on the phone and she said they have so many parcels in their storage room that have been mis-labled and they don't know what they all have. Oh boy. Said they do inventory Saturday and Sunday so might find the package.

This a bulk order of hooks from Japan that I am waiting for to make jigs and I am very eager to take delivery. I am not feeling good about this. If this was the first time I would feel less upset but it's devja vu. This isn’t the first time we have had issues. I am quite angry. will see what tomorrow brings ...

I don't think it's over yet.

Yeah the cardboard tube was sliced in half and crudely taped back together.

Good On St. Croix, but it obviously wasnt up to them to have to replace it. The package contents should have damage insurance on it and therefore Canada Post should cover the full cost of replacement.

Went into today and they found the package. Today's woman was smart and friendly - very glad to have her help us. She said the carrier had mislabel many packages and what normally take one hour to sort out took four hours. But they got it and I'm happy.

Sorry the OP wasn't able to have his issue resolved so easily.
