Hi Guys,

Anyone got to get their hands on the new HD version? How do they compare to other brands in their range such as the Nikon Monarch etc??

Thanks in advance

I've tried the Vortex Viper HD 10x42's, and while they are nice, the $600+ cost is no match compared to the Zen-ray ED3 (which cost about $450 + shipping from the US).

You may also want to look at Promaster Infinity Elite Elx Ed (available in Alberta at McBain Camera in Edmonton, Lethbridge and Red Deer) and Hawke Frontier ED (online from Hawke Optics Canada).

Go look at some reviews. When I was in wholesale I thought the viper hd looked very good for the price.

I was out watching some mule deer about 3 miles away with my new Zen Ray ED3 10x42 this afternoon. Great binos for $400. My buddy with the rangefinding Leica's said there was only a very small difference between between our binos (and his cost 6x as much)
