Staying at the parents house for the weekend and was talking about the outdoors all different subjects, had a question, is coyote hunting allowed all year round? and why do people usually hunt coyotes so much, are they introduced and not a native Alberta dog, not a hunter, hopefully one day, just had a couple of questions, thanks again, let me get back to my beer.

Kill every one you see, run 'em over if you have to.

I don't hate them but I shoot them every chance that I get. They eat deer, grouse, rabbits and the occasional family pet.

Always wondered about that. :D They do a lot of good, like keeping down the number of mice and other small rodents, their primary food source, we have to endure, as well as cleaning up dead carcasses. Problem comes when they turn their attention to bigger prey including fawns and calves and start getting in our way. Then it becomes a management issue.

They're a varmit and can be hunted year round. Right now there worth a bit, 20-+ if you don't shoot their hides up, for the whole animal not skinned. Was 20 of them on a neighbours cow the other day, they seem like they are outta control again.Hope to put a hurting on the local population if I can help in the next few weeks make some $$ and do some of the local ranchers a favour.

I take mine to the local Pilipino clan. They are super thankful. Not sure how they prepare them but don't care either. Now I can get an army of them out shovelling grain bin bottoms out this spring. :sHa_shakeshout:
