Side x Side on Tracks

Not want ing to hijack the excellent Argo vs sxs thread I thought I would start this to get your opinions on putting tracks on a sxs. I have the Ranger Midsize 800 and I want to put tracks on but I've heard negatives about doing it. would like to get some pros and cons from people who have actually done it or driven these machines while tracked. Also brand preferences. I am looking at them primarily for winter use

A friend of mine has them on his 800 and he noticed that his max speed dropped from 55-60 mph to 40 with the tracks on... The other thing he found was that the snow packs in EVERYWHERE, so you need to be careful to not start tearing boots too..

So much to tell Jungle boy, be best to sit down and have a few beers but that probably won't happen. What do you plan to use them for?
