It works great video. What made the pike bleed so much. Very nice pike Kevin:sHa_shakeshout:

Took the hook deep and was caught in his throat. It was a barbless hook too.
Have caught lots of pike and that has never happened before. He tasted really good battered up with salt and pepper...uuummmm!

Good job guys. We will see if we can get together with Wayne tomorrow and beat that one.

I find that barbless or in the past not the fish taking the lure deep has a tendency to bleed. Whether it irratates the gill rakers or something to that effect i am not sure yet I have had it happen.
( Now don't all you sceince guys jump up and down yelling my terminology as being wrong....... blah blah. )
I just a found fish taking hooks deep do bleed.
Just saying .....

I could be wrong, but I think it may have something to do with the sharp pointy object we put in the bait

Guys are out in their trucks today. We pulled the sled. 14 inches below us.

With a good week of ice build up it should be good for driving by next weekend. First inch or so white ice but rest is the good stuff. A couple of trucks on in the distance but I am more cautious.
