Who here field bombs for geese??

I ask cause I wanna know what goes through your heads?? :thinking-006:

We scouted 2 great fields today, awesome ones, thousands of birds :sHa_shakeshout: then I find out some *****hat bombs the field my buddy is scouting and chases the birds away, I cant beleive it!! We meet up and discuss the issue. We find a different field get permission :sHa_shakeshout: then as im glassing to find the best way to get in to setup I see headlights then a guy whipping across the field 40mph (give or take), we have permission, I decided I would drive in since all the geese were already in the air and see what the hell this guys problem is. Find out hes been bombing fields all morning with no success, the geese just wont let them catch up to put any on the ground!! Really?? The geese wont let you get close enough to shoot em out the window?? hmmm imagine that!! needless to say got the plate number and all that will be passed along. They were hoping for 2 or 3, told em the best bet was to get decoys and setup for them. Waste of time trying to get them any other way.

Sorry had to rant, still wanna know if people here field bomb em and wanna know what they are thinking so I can get a better perspective on it :bad_boys_20:.

Also the best part of the day, I finally managed to find an owl, its a Great Horned owl and in great shape, off to F&W monday morning :sHa_shakeshout::sHa_shakeshout:

Had the same thing happen to me a couple days ago. I wasn't impressed. Log the miles, find the birds, and some $&)@/ messes everything up!

Youll be set up and have no problem.

We had a great shoot. Limited out on geese, then yelled 'bang at the rest till ducks came in'

If your in there, ole goose runner will sure be surprised when the flock shoots back.

Sweet man :D so I notice you dont have a laydown blind or coffin blind as they are known, How do you rate your success without one?? What about chaffing in and trying to cover up?? What do you do with your dog??

We are hoping for a good shoot tomorrow, hopefully they fly earlier then 12, lol be a cold morning waiting 4 hours for em to fly lmao

The geese are pretty skittish.. You bet.

From my experience, stores will always want to sell you something.

Or you can watch the birds and hunt.

I enjoy the 'watching and figuring it out' part just as much as the 'bang flop' part.

Good luck tomorrow.

I got a mulie to cut up.

Life is good.

I don't "field bomb", I prefer to pick them off from 200yards with .223.:thinking-017:
