Can flashers, or fish finders show results through ice? I heard a guy talking about not needing to drill holes, cos his flasher would show bottom structure and fish through the ice.

Works for depth for sure, can't say I've seen any fish marked.

Yes but need to squirt a little water on the spot you rest the transducer.
Bottom yes.

Yep done it all day today . As posted there must be water between the transducer and the ice . I scoop water till the heater starts to melt ice in front of it then place the ducer there. With a little fiddling I can "see" both my lines and and any fish approaching . I then move one to see if a the fish reacts , no reaction move the other.my fishing is mostly 30'- and 6" inch perch show up fine . Turning down the surface clutter or setting the top of the scale to 5' gives a nice clear screen. Hope that helps.
