wabamun today

Got out to wabamun at 7:00 am set up next thing we know we have perh nibbling are h
Hooks and then er landed two perch . After loose a hand full of fishy buddy landed an 8 pounder . By this time I'm stand up to go outside to check tip up by the time I stepped outside and got to it a monster took 100 yards of 25 pound nylon braid and snapped the knot at the end

I heard....today that some people are driving on wabamun, Pigeon and Chip lake....not my idea of good times yet.

We walked drilled to fund 14 inches so we drove on everybody I saw at wabamun drove on except use

Have to admit, it was sooo cold this morning I decided to drive on the ice as well. Too much gear- too weak and lazy to haul it. There was 12+ inches of ice where I set up, actually in both places I set up.

I was out for a few hours today. We saw a few large pike, but couldn't get them to bite. We were in the Red Camry with the blue Clam tent. That cold had a nice bite to it this morning!

Was out on Wabaman Dec 9 on the west end of the lake ,measured 10 inches of ice with a tape measure.
From 50 ft and at 75 ft from shore in 10 - 15 ft of water.

Looked like 12" of good ice ascott beach way. Didn't see anyone driving on the ice. Might give it a try in a couple weeks.
