Hey, Im wondering if anyone here has shot a big bull in 305 this season??

Not sure what you mean by big...but this is a nice bull for a heavily motorized vehicle hunted zone...incidentally, this one was killed from the ground, in the timber. 60 yd shot on a sleeping bull, two broadheads in it as well...

Not sure what you mean by that, but I ask cause I wanna know if the bull im after made it the season, so far hes still alive :sHa_shakeshout:

We had a good bull there in August and once or twice in Sept. I'd guess 340 ish. Not sure where he ended up though as there are hunters in that area every fricken day of bow season. Below the tower, there is probably one legal bull for every 10 bow hunters anymore. Those elk don't get much of a rest from Aug. to Jan. It would be lucky if he made it, but he did get to that size. Possibly lives on the Ghost Pine.

60 yrds. wasn"t close enough. Remember he shoots a 7 mag.

Doesnt matter what you shoot, if you dont have a good shot at the vitals why risk losing an animal due to a gut shot. But i guess you have shot animals more then a few times taking low percentage shots. Not my cup of tea
