WMU 523 Late Draw Elk

Just looking for some suggestions on where I would head to fill a late - late season cow elk tag in 523. Season starts on the 21st of December. Any info appreciated. Thanks.

Took a nice Cow Elk in 522 Nov 18, Saw alot of Elk in 523 South of Girouxville/Falher, and North of Little Smokey River just look for the sign cause plenty of snow on the ground, people are good if you seek proper permission. Good Luck

We also took elk out of 522 in past years.
On the 523 side of the river, like Willy says, ask permission south of the hyway to the river. Seek out the name Dumont, that is who we asked, but that was years ago now.

Check in with the local Fish & Wildlife office for names of landowners who are having trouble with elk on their property. I was hunting in 359 just to the west of 523 this past weekend and the snow is deep up to 5 ft in pleaces. The Elk are harmmering the hay bails right now and they are not traveling very far. The three herds that I was hunting were not travelling no more then a mile from the from the bails.
