Do any bait companies market Western Silvery Minnows in Alberta?

I'd go get my own, but they are a listed species which only occurs in the Milk River Drainage in AB.

I despise smelts.

Buy a lake whitefish and cut strips off for bait,,, I cant see it being illegal as you didn't catch it.

Are you burbing or getting your nails done? If the former try squid,, if the latter try the back meat of the lake white,, or buy a mullet, they are quite big in superstore but cheap.

Neither.

I just want to get some Western Silvery Minnows to use on circle hooks for mean ass rainbows.

I've got more than enough other kinds of bait to make a herd of raccoons riot.

Steaked Milk fish, herring and mackeral plus a few kg whole.

Some kind of oily 4" shiny sardine things.

several pounds of whitefish and pike eggs cured + prepped roe bags

500 salted freshwater shrimp.

meal worm farm.

better store your sea monkeys in black bags, I hear they can do naughty things in public and embarass you. careful they dont fling poo at you when you open the bag!

Alberta only seems to sell frozen spot tailed shiners. Never seen anything else unless you look to the preserved variety.

Some small plastics fish immitations are colored well to work on trout.

You should see how much he packs when you go fishing anywhere. He brings so much bait, there is no way he could ever run out.

Beeguy always goes big, and never goes home. At least never goes home empty handed that is! That bait seems to do him well. Of course, he always has enough that if he does get skunked (rare), he's at least got something to eat for dinner! Yum! mealworms tonight for everyone!

Do sea monkeys actually work for bait?

Do sea monkeys actually work for bait?

yes, but only wild sea monkeys.

Captive raised sea monkeys don't have that craziness the fish love

I suspect also that my sea monkeys are suffering from depression

Recently one was spotted at an Ikea in Ontario in a winter jacket. It was on the news.

dont lead the lad astray, we all know wild sea monkeys are only found in Frank Lake, all others are bred in captivity.

True. That's why the whitefish grow so fast in there.

Tough to keep the SM's on a barbless hook though.
