What's wrong with this buck?

Not sure when the video was taken or where, I asked a friend who took it. I'm waiting for him to fill me in on the details.

at the 1.39min mark in the video it looks like he has been gut shot on the right side. IMO

I think you might be right....he could have a gut shot and stopped bleeding...his hind legs are splayed wider than they should be while walking. His is pretty uncomfortable and tired.....trying to find a place to lay down but to sore to.....IMHO.

That's what I was thinking as well either cwd or gut shot. I think the video is from the 8th of December and possibly in Manitoba(that's where his farm is, used to be our neighbour)

That buck seems wasted, but not from CWD.

Post rut blues, and likely injured as mentioned, but I would not jump to the conclusion of it being gut "Shot", more likely injured from a tine.

Or Mom told him his Daddy was a tractor.

Possibly listeriosis (brain infection), also known as circling disease...animal loses fear of humans and can appear docile.

Curious how a person all fall wants to fill his tag with one of these guys yet when you see them in this state a person feels badly for them. I do anyway as he's not right for sure.:(

i beleive this is from the rumsey area if its the same video im thinking of. the link didnt work for me. white tail walking around a tractor?

the guy reported it to F&W who came and put it down. its skull was fractured round the base of the horns, so was probably suffereing a decent concusion.
