Made the 10.5 hour drive to MB, now onto the ice

Loaded up the family and headed east for christmas. Headed out this morning to Dauphin to slay some walleyes. -27 wind chill -32. Hope my brother in law remembers his tent and heater. I will post pics later. Not quite used to this cold weather yet, brrrrrrr, but will see what the day brings.

Buy a couple of rings of their home made Kubasa
Extra garlic. And bring them back to Calgary....I will pick them

Winch, sorry didn't see your post til I got back to minnedosa or I would have got you the order. Pretty cold out there but we got our limit of walleye and 7 pike. We managed to catch 57 fish, awesome day. Looking forward to the next adventure the brother-inlaws are taking me on.

Today, I think we are going to try the local trout pond to see if we can get the kids into some fish, staying close to home cause of the cold and I don't think the kids will last too long.

That is a conservation lake we were on so can only keep 4 walleye each, none over 18". Ice was a good 20-24", fishing in 5 feet of water. Not a lot of snow on the lake, must have been blown off. We caught alot of walleyes over 18, my biggest ever was 25".

Headed out tomorrow for some boxing day walleye. Hopefully the sale will be full speed. Hope it warms a little.
