Got a coyote with a 3 in. tail today,should I keep it? It is a really nice light color but with no tail so I probably won't get any $ for it.?

Cut the tail completely off and sell it. The tail has very little to do with the total price.

It has mange. We won't even touch coyotes with mange now. You might get money for him but some people won't buy or touch them like that

Did the yote only have a total of three inches, or only three inches with hair on it?
If it is indeed mange, the animal will likely be missing lots of hair in the belly area as well. Could be it just had a mishap and lost a chunk of its tail, in which case it would still have reasonable value.

Thanks guys,it does not have mange.It just has a very short tail..so the bone is only 3 in. long covered in hair. I hung it up last night so hopefully it is sellable.
