If people think it was hit hard last year, the attention this lake has seen in the last couple weeks on this forum will surely double the interest.

Forum members from Edmonton are renting a couple buses and towing refrigerated trailers.

About 100 of us will up later this afternoon.

The portable fish cleaning factory is set up on shore already.

There will be free hot-dogs and coffee available for all to enjoy.

This poll is to prove that its mostly locals that are fishing this lake. LacLabiche, Cold lake/Bonyville, Conklin and Ft.Mac area people.
Everyone that is 2 hrs or less away.
I don't think too many people will be heading to Wiau this year with the amount of snow we got so far this year and more to come. Gonna be next to impossable to get on it if it snows much more.

When I went last year I only caught a few 12" hamerhandles, one perch between 4 of us. I will try it 1 time again this year but think it will be a useless trip. Too may lakes 1/2 the distance from Edmonton that you can get your limit of 10 to 12" perch in a day. Long lake and N.Buck are my 2 favorite lakes at the moment for perch, even if the limits have been lowered to 10. Never been skunked at either.

I agree - it's unlikely many of us "Edmontonians" will drive 4 hours when there are better options, producing similar results all within 2 hours of here.
