Anyone ever do a fly in trip to Lake Athabasca Lodge?

Thats what I got for Christmas, a four day trip. Now I just have to book the date. Anyone have an idea of when the best time of year to go between June and Sept. would be.

Any thoughts would be helpful.

Early to mid June and sept are the best laker fishing , weather can be hit and miss though. It's going to be a guided trip I assume cause that's a pretty big lake so the guide will have no problem getting you on fish. I done a few trips north of lake athabasca and prefer the warmer and better camping weather of late June and early july

I 2as tqlking to a fellas at Mark's just the other day about this lodge IIRC, he had a fantastic time, and I ma VERY familiar with the river where those pics of the mosnter grayling were caught- fantastic little gem of a waterway!
Pike, grayling, walleye and lakers all fro the some spot, not to mention HUGE whites!!

hey buddy I would say canada day or around that time is your best bet ..... I use to run Indian Head camp adventures for 3 seasons and guided there for 4 ..if you wanna catch big pike grayling and Lakers that's pretty much the time you wanna be there.. if you have any questions just private message me I can answer them all for you. I can even lead you on the right path for tackle and let you know what to ecpect or even sell you some of my large Laker gear that I no longer use. F.y.I. Doug golosky no longer owns ihc. Wade and renae from mcmurray aviation bought it and I am not sure if its being run this season.. its been mothballed for 2. Actually just text or call me 780 713 1514
