Went to calling yesterday and It's prob hooped for the year as far as truck travel goes. 10" to 14" of ice depending on where you drill. Drove out to 30' of water which you know is quite a ways off shore. Ice was loud and had to plow through lots of flood water. Some places had 4' of water on the ice.

Nope!

The upcoming warm spell will melt down the snow and crush the insulating factor. Next cold snap it will freeze solid. HOWEVER, we need a few days of warm weather to melt down the fluffy stuff. Looks like next week is the key.

Otherwise, if the track is built up and the snow packed down, you are restricted to the compacted frozen areas. PLEASE don't think you can drive flood ice in - 15 or lower. All you will do is turn your vehicle into a giant popsicle from the slush and spray, and then try getting the doors open.
