Provincial park was very slow for fishing today. Lots of people out but no one catching much. We caught a few walleye and a few small jacks all day. didnt see any whites. I measured the ice at 18'' thick. The access at the boat launch is a bit tricky to get on as there is a big ice heave.Cheers.......

Yeah we were there too. Didn't have any hits. But that guy doing donuts in his car sure got some looks from us and a few other fishermen... Crazy guy.. :snapoutofit:

Yep slow at pigeon, but a couple of girls seemed to be having way too much fun inside their tent. Ha ha...... And yes I was using my imagination.

Here a couple pics from the holidays. The bite certainly had its moments. Also, nice to see a fair Pike from Pigeon.

Was thinking about going this evening but might hold off if its too slow. Still got a couple tags left. Did anyone stick around until dark and notice the bite pick up at all?

Went out Saturday as well, Auger broke down so it was 12:45 by the time our lines were in the water, Caught around 30 Walleye's, 4 Jack (no real size) and 3 Whites, the thing about the Eye's was they averaged 3-4 lbs and we even caught one pushing the 8 lb weight, All in All was a Great Day, stayed till 5:15.!!

Tell you One Thing, a Flasher is Worth it's Weight in GOLD!!

Sorry about that the spell check has a mind of its own. Is the ice thick enough to drive on from the mulhurst side?

i live at mulhurst bay and have a cabin on the ice and have been fishing the same spot for 7 years and have never been skunked, but not saying i don't stare down my hole for hours.I have found that early morning and late afternoon are the beat times.Tight lines guys.

My experience when fishing walleyes through the ice is to always be looking for them. Find the bait fish and some structure and hold on. Mind you I have never fish for walleyes in alberta always back on lake of the woods or Winnipeg river in Kenora Ontario. Hopefully I can get back their in late march and have some fun. Might do some laker fishing as well.

Gordon.

had a good day on pigeon. Managed 8 eyes in 3 hours. filled 2 tags. They were biting very light. In the three hours there was almost always one on the cam but usually 2 or 3. Up to five at some moments.
