Spent the day at our usual spot and pulled out a pretty good day. My brother started things off with a pike he caught on a minnow tipped fuzze grub.

The tip ups the kicked in and we had some action on large herrings.

I then lost a couple jigging with a rattle rap. Man they can tick off the pike. Had a big one come in and annilate it but didn't get hooked. She swam towards my tipup and the flag went off about a second later. She spooled the tip up but we still got her in.

We ended up with 6 on the ice and missed about 8. Was nice to have the warm front today. Hopefully we can get out one more time before the New Year.

Nice fish! We were headed out that way this morning, got halfway to fallis and the alternator in my bro's truck sh!t the bed... turned around, picked up my buddies car, drove both back to my place then headed to pigeon. No fish caught! Wish we would have made it to Wab. Next weekend :). We got a beauty 11lber last weekend with a decent 5lber and a couple hammer handles, and some baby perch.

Nice fish,

How thick was the ice at Fallis?

I was at point Allison Friday. I pulled in 2 small girls with lots others taking interest. One at 6 lbs and the other at 8 lbs. I usually fish fallis in the boat during the summer. Ice was 16 inches where I was.

Ice was a solid 14" where we were and no flood ice. We've been testing the waters so to speak driving on. First two trips we walked on, the last two we have driven on with my old Jeep. We drill lots of holes when we are out so we have an idea of ice depth for the entire area we have been fishing....still don't have the nerve yet to explore the lake a bit more by vehicle to Jan.
