Well I finally picked up my new Lund boat from Lac La Biche Sporting Goods. The seating layout is different than the boat that I looked at before making the purchase order, but I like the new larger casting platform, and fold down extra seating even more than the other layout.Everything went smooth, with all options and prices as previously agreed upon.Albert took extra time to show me every feature of the boat, and was happy to answer any and all questions that I had.He then had the tech explain all necessary service that would be required and what products to use if I decided to do my own maintenance. He then made sure that I had all the equipment required to be legal, and I was on my way.I stopped a few times to check the wheel bearing temperatures, but the trip was smooth and uneventful.
Once I returned home,I discovered how easy the boat was to maneuver in the tight quarters between my garage and fence by using the front receiver that I recently installed on the truck.
Now I need to find time to get the boat in the water in between trips to the eye specialist, and my upcoming vacation.

Congrats on the new tub,, and yah Albert is a heck of a guy to deal with he will not be beat in price on his large equipment,, its his modo.. My family has been dealing with him since he and Sly first opened their doors years back ( home town ) and we have made many many purchases from him. Its where I picked up my 2000 Fisherman 2 years ago.

What did you purchase for a boat,, any pics yet ????

No pics yet,as I just arrived home and it's raining out.At least it waited until I had everything parked and unhooked before it began.I purchased the rebel 1625 sport with a 75hp mercury 4 stroke.I was looking at the 1625 classic, until Albert pointed out that the Rebel is larger,is rated for 25 hp more, and the price was lower. It has virtually the same specs as the 1660 classic sport, but for several thousand dollars less.

Congrats, the Rebel is a nice boat. Saw one last sunday at South Buck, lots of freeboard and very stable. I am picking my new Lund w/90hp Mercury 4stk next saturday...Let us know what you think once you've had it out on the water.

Hope you like it as much as I like my families new Tyee 1850. We have had it for a couple weeks and it is sweet.

I was looking at a Tyee 1850 as my boat was being prepped, and it is a sweet boat. However,it is very wide, and would be a very tight fit, between my garage and fence. At least that is what I will keep telling myself when I think of the price tag that goes with it.

Never seem to have enough room in the boat so I bought an 1800 Alaskan SS from AB Marine...Not only did I get the options and EZ-Loader trailer I wanted but also the best price I could find (some dealers didn't even call me back). Contrary to what I have read here, I had no problems dealing with them. They actually called to let me know when the boat was built/painted and would be delivered. They also included hull registration, lettering etc. other than that I didn't need a whole lot of extras.

Mayhem,I am surprised since Alberta Marine had the second highest quote out of several dealers that I contacted. They were about $2000 higher than the lowest quote that I received and later accepted.
