I have a good one for mine! I had to make my garage door wider just to be able to cut it in as our alley is very narrow. Its has a breaking tongue and I have a few inches to spare to get the door closed. So the name I came up with is "Tight Squeeze". Wife's not convinced yet!

Name it after your gal, bring a bottle of champagne and break it over the bow with her. This has a lovely effect when your boat is a nice cuddy punt, and was bought not second hand, you are the tenth owner. She loves to be named after an old ugly fishin boat!

Two things come to mind. I knew a fellow who had a boat with its name painted accross the side and on the back "FOG DUCKER".

And a cartoon I once saw. There were a lot of big sailing ships tied up and all had those statues of bare breasted women with flowing hair on their bows. (there is a name for those figures which escapes me right now) And down the middle between them all was a fellow in a small boat with a little kicker and on the bow of his boat was one boob.

My boat is a hole in the water that I am busy filling with money...her name is DEFISHINSEA.

The bro figured his boat should be named after a lady so his is called the MISTRESS, sounds kinda funny when you tell the wife that you're spending the weekend with the Mistress.

Seen a good one on the coast, the name really tells it all "Eight Years of Begging"

Was thinking about calling one "Tugging my Knots" but figured it was a bad idea with the neighborhood kids. Also thought about "Drowning Bait" but is a bit tough to explain to non-fishermen.

LOL! Filthy Oar sure struck me as funny.

I have a Crestliner 1600 SC Fishhawk. My wife takes one look at it and forever has called it the _hithawk. Maybe I should christen it by hitting her over the head with a bottle of champagne. :D

My 14' glass boat, and 50hp Merc are both early 60's. It was that fugly red retro color, but now its that fugly reddish orange.

So I painted it silver/grey so it wasn't so humiliating, and now it looks like a lunar lander.

The Old Merc runs fine, but it could use a tune up and carb adjustment, cause it sputters once in a while.

The name hit me while leaving the dock.......

Sputnik.

I have an old 'super-8' video/film camera and I want to shot some phony 1960's footage of the boat. Get dressed up, and everything, lol.

Some good and really funny names kicking around out there! Just one thing of note..I recall reading that one must never name a boat after someone who is still living as it is considered bad luck and something bad will happen to the boat and/or to the person you name it after. I believe I read that on a sal****er fishing forum and some people swore by it. Just a heads up:evilgrin:
