spring lake ?

Just wondering if there is good or decent fishing at spring lake, going to spend
a couple days out there. Do you need a boat out there or can you fish from
shore.

While it is possible to fish from shore a boat is the way to go. The campground used to have rentals. Beware....spring lake is famous for having some of the worst tasting rainbows

I fished it quite often before the enforced winter kill to take out all the perch,
the lake's water seems nice and clear, used to catch there nice size rainbows and even nicer perch, good place if you have family with you and small kids
as you can do your own thing right next to the beach fishing from shore and having your family play in the shallow waters of the beach.
Haven't been there in 2 years though.
