NEED HELP!!! with Electronics???

I am in desperate need for help with our new electronics!
I bought a new 4 zone sound system which includes a receiver-Onkyo TX8050 & CD player-Onkyo 390 but have an existing(old) Sonance DB4 zone selector. Is this ample? OR should I order a new one? a Niles 4 zone w/speaker control has been recommended. What would be the differences (other than volume control & $300)?
I'M SURE THERE MUST BE SOME EXPERTS OUT THERE?

Why not just use some impedance matching volume controls?
